dct. vs AE Is it worth the new technolgy.

Never rode a DCT, 'n this is 11 year old technology fer Yamaha, bew years back I dun wadded my beloved black cherry '07A, 'n knew I was gonna replace it w/ another FJR; but what vintage? As it turned out, the AEs (That didn't sell well here in the states.) were considerably cheaper than the As...

    FJR drought in japan

Surprised ya saw any FJRs there. Japan has tiered licensing; little bikes iz cheap, big bikes cost time 'n money.Way it's always bean.

    Handlebar shake

Interesting; maybe thems w/ wobbles should try to duplicate the problem w/ 'n without luggage? @JohnD, maybe you need to re-torque yer steering head bearings or get tapered? In over 100K mi. on two FJRs neither wobbled. I always run 40 to 42 PSI front.

    Aerostich

Prolly ^THIS^ Dun got me an old blue w/ hi viz yellow abrasion area (cuz I'm a Rossi fan boi.) 'n the blue is quite faded. POS only haz a couple hundred thousand hard miles on it! ;)

    Handlebar shake

Never happened ta me on the FJR, butt when I used to run Dunlops I dun had a few "wobblers" on mah Fj1200. Since make'in round tires seems ta be difficult fer Dunlop, I quit use'in 'em back in the '80s. some times keep'in yer hands on the bars ain't 'nuff...

    FJR in curves and twisties..?

In the 1st sentence; "I picked up an '07." He just thinks there's less engine brake'in cuz he's go'in much faster on the straights, 'n into the corners hotter.

    FJR in curves and twisties..?

I jump back 'n forth between the FJR 'n an FZ6, and set up properly the FJR can rail. Besides upgraded suspension, I have Soupy's raising links. In the twisties, peeps I ride with tell me I go 'bout as fast on the FJR as the FZ6, but w/ the FJR I use a different riding style; more of a brake...

    09 FJR--two-up floppiness?

Chew know, after think'in 'bout this, all I can say is better fall'in into a turn, than standing up! I had an '86 FJ1200 w/ them goofy 16" wheels, and after the tires would get a little worn, that pig would stand up in the corners, 'n always seeded worse w/ the wife/sister on back. Count yer...

Vibration Survey for Owners of More Than One FJR1300

Why not, NERPTs the most interesting part of this forum. ;) 'N to the above comment, as I recall, last time I dun synced my TBs, I set the throttle to 4K, 'n adjusted the butterflys, then the idle. Prolly why mah bike's smooth as an electric motor.

    Motion Pro Mini Bleeder

Holey zombie thread batman! ^THIS^ Dun got me one of these 'n love it. The thing is often you can get air in the system from around the screw, butt this pneumatic bleeder sucks so hard and so fast, that it pulls out any bubble that might get in.

Vibration Survey for Owners of More Than One FJR1300

Dun owned two '07s 'n they're both like electric motors; smoothest bikes I ever owned. (Sorry I don't have different vintages; I'mma glutton for punishment!)

Feels like my FJR is jumping a cog in 2nd gear

Watch'in the video, that's totally weird! That'd be my guess, since it only happens in 2nd gear. Have you checked the on board diagnostics ta see if there's any error codes? An ECU flash might fix it?

Rebuilding kits -Clutch reservouir & slave cylinder

Dunno if'n this helps, butt I had sum of them cheap Chinese levers, 'n never could get a proper bleed frum brakes or clutch. Went back ta stock levers 'n all is good in the world again.
