    Nelson Rigg Magnetic Tank bag

***SOLD*** I have a tank bag that I've rarely used and it's time I should sell it. I can't think of the model number, but it's a good size (maybe the size of the genuine Yamaha tankbag?). It's expandable (gets taller), has two side pockets, and a pass-thru for headphones or other similarly...

Anyone know of Hats Off Motorsports in Omaha?

I've never heard of them. Looks like they're primarly a marine dealer. The online reviews aren't overly positive. Good luck! It only matters that they can read and follow instructions. Be sure to check out the FAQ section of this forum and print off the new owner's guide thingy. If you need...

    POST SFO 2012

If we're thinking about having it anywhere near the same location I can't bring myself to pay for another night at The Hub. I think it's in a great location but if they don't invest in the hotel I don't see the need to ever visit again.

Home safe thread - SFO 2012

Nearly clipped a deer north of Harrison. Caught in a bit of a monsoon in Springfield. The rest of the ride home was thankfully uneventful. Fun two days of riding.

    OFFICIAL SFO 2012 RALLY thread

When I called about tent spots I was told they don't take reservations for them. Looking at the area (using google maps Satellite view) there is a decent size grassy lot. Unless that other group has a lot of people camping I would bet a nickel there will be plenty of space.

    SFO '12 Routes

I've been told the waypoints are a mess on the routes I've sent out so I've cleaned them up and resent them to those who have requested them.

    Question about SS1000

The list on the IBA website is thorough and gives you everything you need. Might want to re-read it a few times, make a checklist and go from there. :) ride safe!

    FZ1 mirrors

As noted previously, you're not alone. I was really worried and was about to go for a can of WD-40 when I thought "what the hell" and put a little more force behind a push. They're not easy to move while riding, but I have them where I need them.

    Top Case recommendation?

I found a gently used (actually, no scratches or anything) OEM case on this forum. It included the mounting plate and backrest. I paid $475, including shipping and insurance. I guess it depends on how quicly you want to get one. I had taken the OEM part numbers and put them into Google...

    Test Ride Promo

Not all dealers are participating. The "big" dealer closest to me is not. The general manager said Yamaha was making them buy all models of bikes and the dealer didn't want to. I was told I could test ride whatever I wanted, even the new Super Tenere they had in stock, but I declined. I did...

    First cross country ride

+1111111 on KOAs. Great places. If you're really tired of tent camping, rent one of their "Kabins" (which are just a few bucks more per night). I've used KOA on my trips out west. No complaints at all. (although some are precariously close to railroad tracks, and highways) I was too tired...
