Same here, the dam bike died twice on me when I first had her when slowing for road junctions. Turned up the idle from what seemed just over 800 to just under 1100 no problem since......... Also just had the bike back from its first service throttle sync was ok so I put it down to a low idle speed.

How about a FZ 1000, I have this one on loan fitted with a micron exhaust while my baby FJR is in for a service (it scares the crap out of me)..................

Yep we still use MPH, yards, miles and even feet and inches, some of my older engineers still use chains, furlongs and rods LOL! but for even more confusion we also buy things sold in KGs, metres, centimeters etc. My kids have been taught to use the 'metric system' but still have 'imperial'...

WD-40 i find is a great universal cleaner, fetches tar off my plastics and my boot scuffs off the side cases and exhaust when I dont throw my leg over high enough when getting on or off :rolleyes: also found it very good at getting the oil 'fling' off the rear wheel of my old chain drives.. ;)

Yep my 2008 model also has the parking lights and "passing" head light flasher, but my 2007 UK kawasaki Meanstreak doesn't have the flasher or immobiliser

I have to agree with everything you say, I have had mine for just over 4 weeks and so far no problems apart from a low idle speed when I picked it up from the dealer, it was showing about 8-900 rpm on the tacho. I have increased it to 1000 rpm and as a result better gear changes and less...

I use mainly ordinary unleaded 95 RON (Research Octane Number) but I occasionly give the old girl a helping of super unleaded (98 RON). I dont see any difference in performance but i persume it burns cleaner (thats what i tell myself anyway). Nice to see that you all in the States are still...

Whats the average Gas price in the USA at present? the cost here for unleaded at my local filling station is £1.09p per Ltr or (£4.95p) a gallon the cost of fuel as gone up something like 20% over the last 12 months! not good news for me with a weekly fuel bill now approaching approximately £100...
