I met a rider at one of the first Void Rallies I rode in who had done something like this to his FJR in case of needing a jump start...

I've mounted mine under the pillion seat. Main reason for this even beyond the space issue being that I only need to pull the pillion seat should I blow a fuse. No point in making it harder to access than necessary.

I run a heated jacket liner, heated gloves, Clearwater Krista and Darla auxiliary lights, and a GPS doing long distance rallies. Never had an issue with either of my FJRs electrical systems. I ride year round provided the roads are clear and have ridden in single digit temps. Stress less, ride more.

There is a thread on here about EOM including reservation info, dates, etc. We typically have up to 70-80 FJRs show up including people from all over the US and some Canadians.
