    Aftermarket horn on a 2018

I use the ones on the bottom. Sound like a station wagon.

    New Helmet

I ride too much for a helmet to get to five years. As long as it’s taken care of and not stored in extreme temps, I don’t worry about the 5 year thing. I look for damage or crazing of the outer shell, and breakdown of the inner shell(s) and padding.

    2018 FJR key blank

I order mine precut from cycle keys online.

    Fit2Go TPMS review

Pretty cool. Fobo wakes up as soon as I rock the bars. I replace batts twice a year as a precaution, but they last a little over a year.    These appear to be an excellent alternative for those that use neither a smart phone nor any sort of helmet audio.

    In the Motorrad camp now.

I wouldn’t still be on this bike without a helibridge. Puts the bars in the perfect sport touring position. Great photos.

ear buds or in helmet bluetooth

I still love my shure 215k monitors. But I’d like to try custom molded ones. Do you have a recommended source/product?

    Shoei RF-1200 Helmet For Sale

Gloss white, size large, Shoei RF-1200 helmet. I purchased this helmet brand new from Revzilla in December of 2019. Worn three commutes with a helmet liner. Like new.  I love the helmet. I just found that I’ve worn modularstoo long now to really enjoy a full face any more. Call me fickle.$350...

    Handguards?

Part of why I like the Storm version is the ease of installation and removal. I came close to buying the blizzards before going with the storms. I went with storms because they appeared to be more robust. I think the blizzards provide more of a capsule of warm air. Can’t go wrong with either in...

    Three Months With New FJR

I never transferred my Bryden/Scott Cathey dash shelf to the 2018. I still miss it a little. Great info. Reminds me I have to settle on a mirror solution. I see nothing in mine.

How Many Miles Did You Ride In 2019?

A little over 30,000. That’s in spite of work travel and my first ever hospital stay. I was fortunate this year. I average closer to 20,000.

    Retail value

Good deal. My helmet is covered up to $500 (around half replacement value). Apparel to $500 (half my stich). Accessories to $2,000. Always good to know where you stand ahead of time.

    2018 FJR Air Deflectors

I rode all day with it plugged and couldn’t tell any downside. But temps were never hot.

    2020 FJR1300

I have yoshimura carbon fiber R77’s on my 2018 (equivalent to GYTR option, but with a different finish). They are superb, but I don’t think anything is equal to the build quality and longevity of the stock exhaust.

    2018 FJR Air Deflectors

On a related note, do you block the center, “beak” vent in cold weather, and if so, can you tell a difference? I have never been happy with FJR wind protection, even with my Cee Bailey screen. Good on you for experimenting. Very interesting and informative.

    Rims for Sale

Are these the whole wheels or just the edge of the wheel (rim)?

    Battery pig-tail o.e.m. on '16?

I’m not from the Carolinas. And I don’t care where you’re from, below freezing on the highway gets chilly. If you’ve got 8 hours in the teens, 20’s, or even 30’s, and your gear goes down, those get to be long highway miles. At least for me.
