I’m not an engineer, but I think 4,000 mike intervals is crazy short.

I wouldn’t defer fluid changes on a bike with unknown history. Once that was done, I would not sweat going a thousand miles over. I did 5,000 mile intervals for much of the life of my last fjr.

I don’t know about your application, but often gel is used as a term for the feel neoprene gives. So you tried but grip puppies and grip buddies? I ask because they are entirely different products.

Garmin tech support was very pleasant to deal with for me. They couldnt fix anything and didnt seem that knowledgeable about my gps, but they were very nice. I still have the device. It still does everything its supposed to do about 20% of the time.
