I have the same setup with Velcro.  Works like it should and no wiring at all.  I'm to lazy to make it any harder than that.

Having one of these I can affirm they are the fastest of the FJR models.

The McCruise should sell the bike alone.  Had one on a ST1300 and they are perfect.

I would buy that FJR, put a McCruise control on it, and go take a long ride while the wifey cools off.

Good seat here folks. Been using mine for 11 years on two different FJR's.

+1 on the ASV levers. Have them on my FJR and ST1300. Had the brake drag issue on the St but there is a little plate that can be removed with one screw and work like a champ.

That's really a pretty good fairing. I put over 90K miles behind the same fairing albeit on a V65 Sabre. That bike got me started down the sport touring way of doing things. Coming off a V65 Magna it took some adjustment but have never looked back.

I had the Cee Baileys on my 08. Never really liked the look of them but they did the job. When I sold it the new owner got perfect headlight lenses. When I bought the 14 I decided not to run the lense protectors. Came by the big mine in Morenci, AZ last year and the wind was blowing gravel...

Had one of these on my 08 Gen II and it worked perfect. Could see over the top at full up and very calm air pocket behind it.

I use the lighter fluid to take off tar on my pickup and cars, wheels on each, and just about anywhere else something sticky needs to come off. I clean off the tar and then clean with a wet rag or Sprayway, or simple green. No harm so far. I would not put it on and leave it on just like any...

Used this for years. Much better than Goo Gone and takes tar off exhaust pipes better also.
