Like several of us, I'm blessed/cursed with long legs. (I can step over/straddle. 36" dog kennel with no problem) I have highway pegs on my Wingabago that necessitate a wide spread to get my shins around the lower fairing. Didn't take long to get used to that position and I can ride from tank...

We Californians can import a bike (or car, truck, etc.) from anywhere. Just one small hitch: the vehicle must have 7500+ miles on the odo *at the time of purchase*. So, no. We can't buy a new one from out of state. Unless we use a straw man and play games.

Having had the pleasure of seeing this bike in person, I'll testify that the paint job is even better than the photos. That, and the long list of farkles? Buy the Smuggler - it's worth it!

Great thread! Now I have to go down to the garage and talk to the girls. They almost had me convinced that I was only supposed to remove the keys in order to fill the fuel tanks. They can be SO manipulative. In a good way! Happy new year.

Since my bride has family in the PHX area, we'll drive out in our mini van. I'll volunteer to be designated driver for a few souls who wish a ride après wake. Caveat: I'm a stick-in-the-mud and will leave sometime after sunset! If you're planning on pushing through until dawn, Uber is your best bet.

Though I wish to attend, I'm tied up until after New Years. If the service is on 12/31, I'll take (another) ride in his honor here near home.
