2005 SV 650. I have wanted one for a long time. Didnt sell the FJR to get it. Fun little bike to ride so far. I will do a report after several months of riding with my impressions.

Appearantly the biggest difference is the 09 is slower, I think the black paint on the 09 was made from straight lead as the 09 wieghs alot more than the previous bikes. So its obviously slower.

I have a gen1 2005 and I have ridden 2 gen2 bikes. I found no real difference in heat or anything else for that matter. Just get the one you like and let it be. I live in the deep south and I ride my 2005 everrywhere adn heat has never been an issue.

I bought this same system about 6 months ago. Found it to be very inaccurate and as msntioned above. It only works about 50% of the time. I sent it packing as it didnt work well. I find a good TCLOCS check when I stop tp be sirfficient and I check my tire pressure often.

My Quest works great, But I keep reading about people loosing satellites in poor weather, Mine hasnt, But I thought I might add the antenna just for extra reception. I like the quest adn its waterproof ( rains alot here in Alabama) so waterproof is a must.
