I have ridden both, the heat difference in the 2005 adn the 2008 is very monimal. Didnt notice any real difference between the two. Bought a 2005 adn I ride it everyday. And as for heat. i live in Mobile alabama, It gets dang hot here. I couldnt ask for a better steed.
