FJRs like a nice strong battery. Get a new battery (your choice of brand and material) and you will be golden!

Also, I thought Mama Yama raised the CC limit from about 80 to about 100mph starting in 2014. I now have UN -limited CC in case I was 'cruising out west' quickly.

Trials, I own the 2013 WITH Ivans ECU flash. 3 drive modes, smooth shifts and UNLIMITED CC. Get a 2013 cheap (I never loved the color) and ride it like you stole it ('cause you did).

I'd re-trace your steps. It often is the last thing you touched ... and/or the battery has to be fully charged (or replaced) and many folks are good to go!

Brian, Just get a trunk. I never ride with my bags around town (and we can't lane split). It'll be just like a heavy FZ1 that rarely need gas!

So JTH, How do the tires compare on similar FJRs? On dry roads? On wet roads? On curves? And mileage ?

If you buy a $10k , $20k or $30k motorcycle, and tires are the only thing between you and the very rough road ... i would suggest that $300 or so is not 'too much to pay' for saving your skin, maybe your life, and/or enjoying the ride!!! For the record I use Michelin PR4 almost...

I rode the 1250 RT around Europe for 10 days (mostly 2 up) and loved it. We did Stelvio 3 times, and many passes each day and the RT turns quickly and easily, accelerates strong down low, and maybe popped a small wheelie by accident on a switchback. But I didn't get the quick shifting strategy...

I believe they are OEM from Mama Yamaha. Adds a bit of chrome and keeps boots from melting. Also, Gen3 are always missing the Bag tag due to bad glue. Buy from Gen 1 or Gen 2 and use good glue.

I have the same pegs and love them on the highway. I fold the up and put the balls of my feet on the pegs (where they belong) during tight twisties. The washer allows for some fine tuning. I check them often with my feet, because I don't like the idea of draggin stuff either.
