    Fork Oil

Maybe because my fork oil needed replacement (second owner/42k miles) but I used 8w Motul. Fully geared up, 215 lbs., I noticed a major improvement in handling. I emptied the fork oil into a graduated cup, extended and collapsed the fork leg several times and replaced with the same amount. Of...

Parts Wanted 2005 FJR Aftermarket Seat

The Child of the Universe (Bounce) is correct. Corbin, love it or hate it. Which makes the Corbin a good value on the used seat market. However, if you're willing to put in the miles the Corbin will break in and become an excellent seat, IMO. I've had my Corbin on four different FJR's, 06,07,09...

Parts Wanted Looking for a rear wheel for my 2015 FJR

Although a Gen 2 rear wheel will fit your Gen3, the ABS sensor plate must be changed over as well. There is a difference on the Gen 2 where the spacer between the wheel and ABS plate is part of the sensor backing plate. Not a big deal just make sure you get both.

Dave, The '15 seat will work on your bike, guaranteed. I had the '15 seat on my friend's '10, fit perfectly. Yamaha didn't change the rear sub frame. 2016 on up might be different. Let me know.

    Obd2 elm327 mini

I know this may sound pretty basic but have you tried riding the bike for 25-30 yards? ABS, TC and CEL were all illuminated until I actually rode the bike. Good luck

    Update Me: Opinions Welcome

Scooter, You are right sir. It was RaceTech not Traxxion that I read now services the ES shock. The phone number I listed is for EPM. I had EPM service my Hyperpro Shock and I was told at the time (approx. 1 year ago) that they can also service the ES rear shock and offer a spring upgrade as...

    Update Me: Opinions Welcome

The rear ES shock can be rebuilt by Traxxion Dynamics (California) or European Packing (732 786 9777) in New Jersey. If you weigh over 200 lbs the rear shock is marginal at best from the factory, suffering from the inability to give you the proper pre-load. Changing the spring will help a lot...

2007 AE Has a low piston 4 pressure

Back IN The Day, all we had were HeliCoils to repair our VW stripped out spark plug holes. Now those were a PITA. Time Serts came along and were a major step in the right direction. With patience and a skilled hand, a repair with a Time Sert will last a lifetime. Good luck

    Update Me: Opinions Welcome

I too like the ES Suspension. There are now a couple of shock rebuilders that can do the rear shock at a reasonable cost so that shouldn't be a concern. The front suspension is very easy to service. Only those over 220 lbs or those that tend to overload the bike will have negative feedback. I do...

    2019 tire change problem

I recently did a 200 mile ride, the last 10 miles or so the CEL, Traction Control and ABS lights all came on. Pulled over and noticed the rear ABS Sensor was dangling , the securing bolt had worked it's way loose. Had a spare bolt , put the ABS Sensor back into the hub and all was good. All...
