    Nova Scotia Dealer Help

Calling Nova Scotia board members. I'll be in Halifax on 8/15 & 8/16 and I'd like to get my bike serviced (oil & filter and possibly tires). I see there's a dealer in Halifax and one in Darsmouth. Any experience with either one?

    Ignition Switch How to.....

I'm taking a (2) week trip in August and want to carry an extra ignition switch............just in case. However, they're on back-ordered until who knows when. I seem to remember a member posting that he'd rigged-up a Honda ATV switch and can't find the thread. Anybody know who done it and...

    Penske 8981 shock

Matt, I have the same set-up (Penske & 800# Eibach). I marked the spanner nut on the spring when I installed and made (8) full turns, as per GP's suggestion. I figured they must have done some preliminary work on this. Test rode the bike and it handled fairly well. My first big ride was...

    2007 Stumbling on acceleration

Add the PCIII and G2 ergo tube prior to fooling around with too much else. Those mods totally transformed mine, and every other bike which had it done, into a great bike. Yeah, I know, we shouldn't have to do this, but it's still a hell of a lot better deal than a $20K BMW GT. Anyway, the...

    zumo® installation

Jeff, Do you like the Zumo better than your 2730? If so, why? On my 2730, I can store about 145 songs, how about the Zumo? Thanks,

    2007 Stumbling on acceleration

I also have the full Muzzy system on my bike and it actually "after-fires" some on deceleration, especially if I agressively downshift. I can only assume that unburnt fuel is getting in the exhaust, which then ignites. This causes a "cool" sound effect, but in reality, this is due to a rich...

    2007 Stumbling on acceleration

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I have the PCIII and the G2 ergo throttle tube and they certainly cured a lot of ills. But this is something different altogether. Definitely a "miss" of some sort and I would guess not related to fuel mapping.

    2007 Stumbling on acceleration

My '06 had this exact issue (3) different times over a (4) day ride last week. Felt as if it ran out of gas for about 1 second, then back up to normal. I'll pull the plugs this week-end and replace as a first step. Any update from the other members?

    Muzzy full system scraping report......

Yes I did. I guessed at the sag since I didn't have anybody to help me set it and I'm probably fairly close to correct. Bike handled very well, even with all my stuff on there. Is your suspension stock?

    Muzzy full system scraping report......

I spent the last (4) days burning up the roads around Deal's Gap with my newly installed Muzzy system and I'm pleased to report that I could not get the mid-pipe to touch down. For that matter, my pegs never hit the gound either. Now, before you go railing me for riding like a wussy, my...

Poll - Avon Storm Tire - Please rate + or - feedback

How timely.......I just returned home from (4) days & 1,400 miles of riding in East TN, Western NC and Northern GA with freshly mounted Storms. Tires performed very nicely overall, BUT, the front is definitely squirly over tar snakes and painted lines. Also, the front end felt "heavy" when I...

How to download music on Garmin 2730?

I thought there was a way to convert iTunes to MP3 format for this purpose?!?!?!?!?

How to download music on Garmin 2730?

I remember reading something about exporting songs from iTunes to the 2730, but can't find it. What's the trick? Thanks,

    Forged Wheels

Does anybody know of a source for lightweight, forged wheels for the FJR? Did the search thingy and nothing there. I need new tires, so what a great excuse to get some wheels also.

    Muzzy Conclusion

I think the collecter is OK. If the mid-pipe was just bent in a way to allow it to get closer to the center of the bike, I suspect the rubbing problem would go away. In fact, I looked at it fairly closely last night and this week-end, I'll un-hook the spring holding the mid-pipe to the header...

    Muzzy Conclusion

The bottom line for me is very simple; If I have to invest another $100 - $200 for a new, custome made mid-pipe, that's fine with me. The rest of the attributes of this system is worth the additional investment, if required. Thanks MSC for making all of us aware of this issue.

    Muzzy Conclusion

Well, hell. I installed my Muzzy system last week and have ridden about 125, semi-aggressive, miles since. No scraping of any parts, including the pegs. I have upgraded suspension from the GB a couple of months ago (GP front forks and Penske shock). I'll take the weight saving, awesome sound...
