Oh no.......I got it, just had to change my shorts, I pissed all over myself. But if it shows 10", shouldn't you be in another industry, or at the very least, another forum?
I was getting ready to start a thread on this and figures I'd use the "search feature".... Anyway, I was hoping this would go away, but it's not. I live in the mountains of east TN (rubbing it in) and on a short ride this week-end, I nearly had to change my undies after a couple of low speed...
TWN,
Do you typically look over the shield? I'm also 6ft and can't stand to look thru , must look over. I went for an easy 100 or so mile ride yesterday and the stocker is making me go deaf. I still haven't heard what my bike sounds like....!
When you get to the northern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, you jump on Skyline drive and continue north thru the mountains of VA, western MD and eastern PA and so forth. Probably adds 1 1/5 day to running I95, but oh so worth it.
Atlanta traffic is the real deal, really doesn't matter what time you go thru there. On a bike, you're fair game for the Atlanta cagers. Continue north on 59 (assuming you'll be riding the big slab from Hattiesburg) to the Gadsden / Ft. Payne AL. area and go east on side roads from there...
+1. Not a big deal........just don't cut out the NOISE SUPRESSOR and all will be fine. Get a helper to hold the throttle steady while drilling the tang and you're home free. Remember to get a 6mm round head screw to use instead of the one in the kit.
Hey,
Where you there on Friday April 28th? I was riding home (took a little detour from Texarkana to Chattanooga) and was by myself and saw (3) FJRs going to other way. IIRC, I was on 129 heading south / east to catch the Cherahola Skyway from the moto resort. The place was packed that...
Three cars in the driveway and all have V1s hardwired in them. Wouldn't go anywhere without it. I had a Passport years ago and switched to V1 in about '94. The first one I ordered, Mike Valantine picked up the phone and took the order.........pretty kewl! This guy is obssesed with finding...
This is probably retarded, but just grabbing straws now. Did you make sure your servo throttle cable was fully extended - pulled out as much as possible - when you installed it?
The coil is located behind (closer to the rider) the (2) main fuse boxes, directly behind the battery on the RH side of the bike. If I remember right, the gray wire with red stripe is the one closer to the center of the bike.
I routed the throttle cable on the right side and vacuum and...
Schweeeeet.......thanks for the info. Hell, I didn't even know I had that channel. While seting-up the DVR to record, I also noticed a Motley Crue concert tomorrow. Gonna record that too.
Justin,
I just got your voicemail. Here's (3) pictures of the servo as mounted on my bike. The servo is not permanently mounted yet, just held in place by the black rubber strap.
This is Rebecca and I after our happy, cruise control test ride..........! :P
You connected Grey from control pad to Left front marker light ( did you need to remove the farring to do this?)
Now, Where did you connect the fused red lead from Control pad?
Just removed the small, triangular shape, black fairing BEHIND the marker light. It's held on by (3) phillips screws...
The Blue wire on the tail section is connect to the red wires on both control pad, and the red wire on servo, along with grey wire on of control pad.
I think you may have found your problem. The red wire from the control pad should be hooked to the red lead (stand alone in CC kit) that has an...
I know what you mean. Riding home from Tony's place a couple of weeks ago when I picked-up my bike, I stopped by a Yamaha dealer on the way to get the 600 mile service done. $110.00 for an oil & filter change and rear lube change..........oouch! Bike was in the shop for about 30 minutes. I...
I had a '99 K1200LT and the only time the dealer touched it was for the valve adjustment at 24,000 miles. Shim under bucket, cams have to come out, etc, etc. A bit too much for me. Obviously, this excludes the couple of minor warranty issues I had with the bike.
Generally, I found the...
