14, the rest of the legs are in rucksacks.

    Radiator cover

Your description says you have an 07. Starting in 06 there is SOME protection from the factory. I don't think the guard is as neccessary as it would be for Gen I FJR's, but additional protection can't hurt, and it looks nice also.

    Garauld Backrest mount question

Garauld/Gary's picture shows the backrest mounted behind the bracket, but I mounted mine in front of the bracket. Does it matter? It seems like the tension from pressure to the backrest would be the same either way. Mounting in front eliminates the edge, and moves the rest forward about a...

New ECU Fix / If It Aint Broke Don't Fix It

FJRFencer, Did you ever get your surge problem resolved? Was it a bad ECU, or just the swap out to the new software that reads the sensors with less throttle input?

Mix it or Visual Alert for Radar

I'd vote for the Visual alert -- works all the time, and it's dedicated to the radar detector. If I decide not to use the audio -- I still have the radar detector. I used it for a long time, worked great!

    Gen II Luggage Racks

Another satisfied customer with Garauld's rack: The workmanship is excellent (welds, materials, and powdercoating), kitting of parts excellent, packaging and shipping excellent. Installation was simple and uneventful.

    Trailers Permitted In Ibr?

Another limiting factor may just be additional weight of the trailer/hitch, and the impact to fuel economy. also, F = M*A, with fixed F of the FJR, any reduction in M gives you more A!

Most Cost Effective Way To Purchase And Install Tires ?

Another option is to split the work between your dealer and yourself. Remove the wheels yourself -- not too hard, and doesn't require alot of tools Have the dealer ONLY remove/replace the tires on the wheels Order a Marc Parnes balancer -- and balance them yourself, and re-install them.

DOH! Loctite and this part don't mix....

Try the FAQ at loctite.com: it has a Removal/Clean Upsection that lists: Q: What solvents can I use to remove liquid Loctite materials? A: Most organic solvents are effective in removing anaerobic and cyanoacrylate adhesives. Chlorinated solvents are most commonly used. Dry MEK and acetone...

I didn't vote as I've never found anything I like. I've had a few different Nady units -- and i would not be able to recommend them.

    Wheel balance

It is my understanding that car wheel/tires are 'dynamically balanced' to allow proper weights on the inside and outside rim to also balance concentricity. Motorcycle wheel/tires are so narrow, I don't think there's enough width to require this type of balancing. Typically the FJR is weighted...
