    Hard hitting video..............

Thanks, Hud. Here, again, is a link to the article I published in the July 2012 issue of Friction Zone motorcycle magazine entitled "Managing Risk--Where Do You Fit In?", which is about applying risk management principles to motorcycle riding so that riders do not have to rely on intuition...

    Best used convertible sports cars?

Yes, they are very low to the ground. You can drag your knuckles on the ground while driving them.

    Best used convertible sports cars?

Funny you should mention this.... May have to postpone the sports car because I just bought a bug for my daughter in the deal of the century! Talk about your Little ol' Lady From Pasadena story...! A few months ago my good friend said he was trying to talk his mom out of continuing to drive...

    Best used convertible sports cars?

My dad, a civil engineer who loved a carburetor, owned a couple of TR3s when I was growing up. He retrofit seat belts into the "back seat" and stuffed his three kids back there. He always maintained the British never learned how to install an electrical system in an automobile.

Northern CA Adventuring - Pixs Posted

Count me in! Apart from that, north and east from SF is not my stomping grounds, so nothing to offer. Well, the northern coast is pretty beautiful, and 36 is pretty bitchin'. And have you ridden Skaggs Springs Rd?

    Best used convertible sports cars?

Thank you for the tips! I think I'll tell my li'l friend to forget the Porsche and look at the Miata for best all-around value: "While this pint-size roadster is not screaming-fast, it'll power through the twists like a rocket. Compared with the stock Miata, it's a fire-breathing dragon!"

How do you decide who gets to ride your bike?

Thank you all for the great advice. The answer is now very clear: cash in hand. Period. I like the idea of the 30-min full refund.

    Best used convertible sports cars?

If you happened to know a fellow who was having a mid-life crisis and always wanted to own a two-seater convertible sports car, which models would you recommend around $10K (there's a website to that effect I've seen)? The fellow I know is a bit on the tall side, but loves a Boxter if he can...

How do you decide who gets to ride your bike?

When you decide to sell one of the bikes in your garage, how do you decide who to allow to test drive the bike? I imagine the biggest issue is not its getting stolen, but damaged.

    Hard hitting video..............

This video is very upsetting to watch, really a nightmare scenario for all riders, seeing that car hood begin to advance into our path. My heart goes out to the family, and I appreciate that they released the vid in support of this kind of discussion. I could not agree more with Fred's post...
