    2006 FJR1300A - Colorado Springs

I've got a friend who has threatened wanting to buy an FJR (or similar). I've sent this along to him. EDIT: What "specs" was the Russell originally built for?

Am I out of line? Getting my 16 year old his first ride.

I would recommend swallowing any pride that may be there, sit down with your wife without any distractions (turn off the TV, put down any phones, tablets, etc), and tell her you're sorry for forging ahead with this without discussing it with her first. *AND* (don't say "but"), explain the...

Looks like one side of that table is seriously bringing down the average age of attendees!

How can his post count = 1, when I see two in this thread alone?!?

    FJR Streetfighter?!

This. All that comes to my mind is "why"? They obviously put a lot of effort and money into developing the partial fairing replacement and redesigning the back half of the bike, but it's still going to be a 650lb pig. And shaving off the rear seat (ok, there is a postage stamp of a rear seat...

    NAFO 2016 Official Thread

FYI, I-70 through Glenwood Canyon will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday for rockfall mitigation. Plan accordingly! https://cotrip.org/map.htm#/default?TravelAlertId=238457

    Bike stranded

May be too late, and probably too far, but I could make some garage space in south Denver for you.

    Chock

When I moved from Colorado to Tulsa (and back to Colorado only a year later), I used the rear passenger foot peg bracket thingies

Sadly, COSFJR and I have to bow out of this one We're building a house, and it's turning out to be a little more expensive than we were expecting. Need to save every penny.

Looking for a place to store my Spyder near Denver CO this summer

I also wish I could help, but don't have the room. Another less than ideal option to consider: you could potentially rent out a drive-up storage unit for a few months. They're not entirely inexpensive, looking around here, for an 8x10 or 10x10, it's about $150/month (50% off first month...

    Pulled the trigger on a 2006 FJR1300

EDIT: Tiger_993 said it first...I posted without reading the whole thread first If you're planning to run a top-case, I would strongly recommend just getting the Givi SR357. It replaces that entire piece anyway, and is MUCH stronger.

    Top Heavy - Relocate Battery?

I wonder if it wouldn't be worth meeting up with HotRodZilla and let him ride your bike to see if there isn't something out of whack with it. I know he's ridden several different FJRs (including mine), so he should have a good sampling to compare against.

    2014 FJR1300ES - $10.5k - 450mi - Oklahoma

Or do a REALLY long fly and ride. Put on 7k miles before going back home

    After four years

Just to be safe, I'd bleed them all again due to the linked brakes on the FJR

Friend with ES problem rebuilding shock

I think I've read that for Gen I/II OEM shocks, they're pretty much done at around 40k (I know mine was). I replaced with a Penske, it was recommended to me to get it rebuilt every 15k (I'm pushing to 20k though)

Friend with ES problem rebuilding shock

Anyone with an ES rack up enough miles yet to warrant a rebuild?
