Looking to rent motorcycle at EOM

Couple options: Eagle Rider in Knoxville - They've got a Sportster (since that's what your wife's use to) available then for $420/week. RentHonda in Knoxville - It looked like several varieties are available. ST's for $570/week. Couple places in Gatlinburg - Nothing to pick from online -...

    Attention EOM Procrastinators!!

I should know by the end of the week - "work to live, not live to work" should be the motto. Current conditions have forced me to believe the opposite though (for now). I've ridden down in these parts for years and the riding is pretty special. Hopefully, I'll be registering by the end of the...

    Thanks for the memories!

skisby, Just curious, what made you choose the 8 Ball over another sport tour?

    We lost a friend Lgjohn

Prayers to Lee and his family. A tough but real truth to our sport. Peace to you and your riding buddies.

    Two Brothers

Fubar, I added the tips to my exhaust early in the year and noticed a nice subtle change that definitely improved the all-day ride. Before I added the tips the exhaust tone overrode the a hint of wind noise, not bad, just all-day strong. After the tips went on the wind noise overrode the...

    Is this for real!

He's just multi-tasking - who needs a BowFlex when you can do lat pull downs and leg extensions while riding.

    I don't get it

In an effort to stay close to the topic at hand, here it goes... To me, motorcycles are a lot like coffee - I mean some like it bold, some like it smooth. Some like a tall, a grande or supersize to a venti. Some spit it out the first time they ever try it, while still others acquire a passion...

I am looking at getting Gerbing heated liners for my existing gloves or heated gloves. Have either of you looked into the liners? Sully

    sanke and dragon

I stop by here Tuskeegee Motel quite often when I travel from Indy to Charlotte. It's clean, a couple miles south of Deals Gap and only $35 per night. Just make sure to eat at the gap or Fontana Village early because there is nothing close by.

So That's What My FJR Sounds Like On The Highway

I think I will use the factory windshield in the summer and the V-Stream in the cooler weather. It's nice having a choice. I have been doing this for the past two summers - highly recommended. I just popped the V-Stream back on this past week due to the chilly mornings now. Just pre-purchase...

    MotoGP cookout

Drew, That sounds like a good time - thanks for putting this on. I will probably have one of my sons with me. See you there. Do you want/need any $/donations for your trouble?

    Had to lay her down....

Geezer, I am sorry to hear about your accident, but glad to hear you're ok and your bike had only minimal damage. I am sure you did everything you could not to drop the bike. The last thing I want to hear is someone punking me after a situation like that, especially by assumption. A simple...

    Engine dies

I just saw your post. My '06 is doing the exact same thing and has been for a couple of months. I also have a PCIII and unhooked it for a couple of weeks to no avail. The same thing happened so I re-hooked up the PCIII. I also have Two Brother's slip-ons. The weird thing is that it doesn't...

    Camping at NAFO?

Cool...sounds good. Was there any good ways to get cooled off after a day's ride? It was pretty hot during NAFO and only seemed cool at altitude(mountain passes). Actually, we ddidn't get back to the campsite much before dark each night and by then it had cooled significantly (mid 70's). I...

    Camping at NAFO?

[Did you guys go out for dinner, fix dinner, or skip dinner and go straight to the beer... Each day we stopped for a quick breakfast on the day's route. Pretty much skipped lunch each day - just snacks along the route. We had Jetboils and packed camping meals for dinner, but one night we...

    Camping at NAFO?

WheatonFJR, The camping was good. The night time temps were great with a little breeze, which made the needed rest much more comfortable. The Yurt (Inside view) that we stayed in unexpectactly had full thickness mattresses - a huge plus. The deck overlooking the mountains wasn't bad either...
