I've seen some posts about the Oxford heated grips. I'm wonder is that a good choice or is there a better one. I remember reading the Oxford grips for adventure bikes was the ones to get.

Clutch line was pulled to tight. Took tension off line by lowering the clutch lever and BEHOLD the clutch is easy to pull.

Thanks for the help. I found it odd that everything was fine till I put it all back together. I pumped the clutch lever several times after I got the bars bolted back with no issue with a stiff pull till I went to ride it and, that's when the clutch was so hard to pull. Had forks survived and greased swearing head bearings. Bars hung on both sides of the fairing, now after putting it all back together my clutch lever is hard to pull. 2005 non ABS.

Thanks, I thought the adventure option was what I needed, I just wanted to make sure.

I read a post a few weeks ago that told which of the three Oxford Heated grips was the best choice for the FJR. Can someone help?

I bought my 05 in Febuary with 16000 easy miles and very well mantained, it still has the new smell ! I to noticed the shifter rubber is worn. It has to be just soft rubber and nothing more.

I liked being able to set the shield where I wanted it and it not move. When I want it higher or lower I can just run it up or down as needed. Thanks for the info.

Won’t just un plugging that plug with the wire loop stop the auto lowering and make the shield manually adjustable?

I was looking around behind the gauges and could'nt find the plug to keep the wind shield from lowering when the ignition is turned off. Is it like the one on the 03 and where is it?

I'm wanting to put an accessory shelf on my 05 and i'm looking for a well made one that mounts sturdy. I had one on my 03 that came from Farkle Masters that was OK but shook with only my zumo mounted on it. Who make a good one?

I have a 03, and here in Alabama we know heat so I put some heat blocking foam material between the frame and side panels. This helped the heat blast coming back on me. I just got a lightly use 05 and plan to do the same with it.

I have a 03 with Traxxon fork up grades and I wont to put them on my 05, will they match up beings that the 05 has bigger rotors?
