Sighting- Blue Fjr-- Paris,va rt601/ Blueridge Mtn Rd

So, I was just curious if the owner of the 05 I saw today is a member here. I waved as you passed by. It's hard enough trying to get some yard work done with all the bikes going down my road, but seeing another FJR did me in. Had to go out for a ride . Thanks. :D

Looking for a trailer(s) parking spot.

I've got space for you. I assume it's two pick-ups? Come on down. Then you can ride due west into WVA and enjoy some really nice roads. I am 20 min east of Winchester, Va, if you need a reference point. Let me know.

    Best way to Marlinton WV

If you want to stick to 4 lane highways I think YOUR route as opposed to mapquest would be better. If you don't mind hauling a trailer on 2 lane country roads through the mountains 219 isn't too bad, but you would make better time on the major routes.

REVISED POLL - How old are you

I'm 38. Started LEGALLY riding in 98. Never really thought about it until now, but every bike I have either owned or ridden for any length of time has been a Yamaha.

    Crash Bar install picks

Yeah forgot to mention that one. The left side rear bar did have the same "offset". I put the two small ones in the top of the bracket and put the large bolt through the exhaust mount hole at an angle and screwed it in. After it goes in about a half inch you can use the bolt itself for leverage...

    Crash Bar install picks

Yeah. The rear bars are a function accessory only. I put them on to check the fit and take pics for those that ordered them. And then they came off and went back in the box. I figure they would be good for track days or long trips. I was mainly interested in the front bars. Ummm. They might be...

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

The left side holds the rear engine bolt and screws into the right, so left does need to go on first. I would suggest putting the crossbar in and let it lay loose in the fairings until both bars are mounted on the bike, Otherwise you can't get it in at all. Attaching it to one of the side bars...

Gen II Crash Bar Group Buy

Just got done installing my front and rear crash bars. No real issues. Needed and little pressure to align some holes, but did not need to drill, file or modify the bars in any way to install them. I'm guessing it took me about an hour. I documented and took pictures of the process so actual...

    AMA schedule? Anybody?

That's a possibility. Just heard a conversation among the TV officials in the control tower later in the evening after the race. But with the popularity of NASCAR in this country, you are probably right. Noone should be bothered by a rider getting run over on live TV. I'll STFU now. :(

    AMA schedule? Anybody?

I believe the delayed airing of the races is due to the accident that killed a rider on live TV(Speed) at VIR. I was at that race and the Speed guys were all talking about lawsuits from the family.

    Essential FJR info

A friend got me a UTAG, Clicky, after I hit a deer a year ago. USB medical, family info and space for other info as well. Comes with stickers to put on the bike or helmet to let the medics know you have it.

    Cycle World - Greenville

Looks like they are trying to develop "stealth" technology for motorcycles. Looks pretty cool on planes.... not on this bike. Hmmm... I got some carbon fiber panels left over from my race car project, I think I'll put them on my new bike, pass me some more zip ties. Maybe I just have...
