I checked part numbers and all stock seats from 2010-2014 have the same last 9 digits. However, for the 2013 and 2014 seats, the first three characters are1 MC where as the first three characters for 2010-2012 are 3PG. So will a 2012 seat fit on a 2013 or 2014 FJR?

1. You didn't say, but make sure the key is on. The pocket accessory plug is only hot when the ignition is on. 2. Try a different fuse, or test the fuse for continuity with a meter.

+1 to all the above replys, in particular, using a multimeter or voltmeter to check voltage from the socket back to the battery and also check for continuity/resistance.

The fairing does not have to be removed. Reach up under the front and bend the horn bracket down enough to get a wrench on the single nut holding the horn to the bracket.
