    Altitude surging on 07 fix

    I'm currently in Alaska on a different bike, but good news travels fast! Geez, I hope this info is true!! AGirl

    Tank Bag Recommendations? Anyone?

    Everyone has an opinion, this is mine.... Nelson Riggs CL-350 hands down is my fav tank bag. Run it on my FJR and am currently in AK with it on my V-Strom. Great function, has held up well over the last 25k miles. (For a pic of the bag on my FJR, choose any link: HERE). On the other hand, the...

    2007 Altitude Surging Problem - Members Wanted

    I haven't read this entire thread but, Tophog, after 17k miles I'm not far behind you reaching the auction block point with my 07A. :sadsmiley: Thank goodness I'm leaving for Alaska (details: HERE) in the morning on a different bike. I'll keep my eyes open for a cussing Cerulean Silver owner...

    Etymotic ER6i's $69 at Amazon

    Pierre, I'll be glad to ship them to you... just have them shipped to me and they will be on the way. PM for my mailing address. Thanks again for that help while I was in Montreal. AGirl

    Etymotic ER6i's $69 at Amazon

    Can only speak from my experience, but after approx 90k miles I'm having to replace mine as the "skinny little wire" finally gave up the ghost a few days ago. Of course this could be due to the fact they are the gay white color. AGirl

    AGirl's 07 ==> altitude sickness

    Thanks, Rob, for the encouragement. I need it at this point as I'm quite frustrated. After only 16k+ miles (since Feb) this bike is making a strong challenge as my most favorite bike, however, avoiding mountains or riding them slowly doesn't quite make a #1. :( To address the burping...

    AGirl's journey: East Coast 2007

    My deepest thanks for all the support, it is indeed most appreciated. To FJRandy and FJReady, the honor was mine to be a welcomed guest, and I hope my path crosses with other such classy forum members along the way. To Dan...you're on for the the next time I'm in IA (and as FJReady mentioned...

    Want to help support the Forum, get your Tshirt!

    I'll take one for the 07 team.... where do I sign up Orangevale? .... and surely Slap would at least consider the notion coming from a chick with a big fat orange T on her 07. :grin: AGirl

    AGirl's 07 ==> altitude sickness

    +1 ... and if I had read about any such reports during my pre-purchase investigating I quite possibly could have made a different decision, especially given my CA home is at 7,000' - - at current I would be willing to bet any amount of money that my FJR would never make it into that garage and...

    AGirl's 07 ==> altitude sickness

    An update.... over 8,000 miles and varied terrain since experiencing the near disabling issue at altitude in NM, I can clearly identify when the problem occurs: not just with elevation gain but doing so QUICKLY (both combined, like in NM as stated in my initial posting above). Recently I found a...

    AGirl's journey: East Coast 2007

    Glad you are enjoying the reports. :) Still having trouble w/the bike unfortunately (only at elevation and only with a FAST elevation gain). The FJR's journey will be ending in the next two weeks; hopefully the problem will be resolved by the time I come back to the East Coast and get it...

    AGirl's journey: East Coast 2007

    I've been a bit busy (um, riding!) to do much posting here, but after meeting two forum members this past week I thought I'd post up the reports that include them. Tuesday (FJReady) can be found HERE, and Thursday (FJRandy) HERE. I'm leaving the New England area tomorrow, future reports found...

    AGirl's 07 ==> altitude sickness

    Thanks for the suggestion, but as I stated above, the bike was indeed shut down... nonetheless, it doesn't seem to help (or hurt) matters. Surging is one thing, unable to accelerate from a stop without huge rpms is another. My FJR did not do either in the first 7k miles. AGirl

    Help for AGirl in Montreal?

    Just posted this in technical section: HERE ... didn't think I'd EVER say this, but for now I'm glad it's flat around here. You locals will likely recognize places HERE from yesterday's little jaunt. :D Thanks again for the support. :) AGirl

    AGirl's 07 ==> altitude sickness

    Yes, I am aware there is another thread about elevation issues, however, my unique experiences and specific issues of recent have led to this posting. I am currently on the road (in Canada actually) so I may not be able to promptly reply to any clarifying questions (I am in phone contact...

    Help for AGirl in Montreal?

    I have no idea if this is the appropriate place to post this or not but it's my best guess. I'm currently on the road (ok, I'm actually in a motel room waiting out a tornado) and I'll be in Montreal this time next week. I've experienced some difficulties w/my 07 while en route that required...

    Severe stumbling at altitude

    Whoever was quick to pull the "do a search" trigger missed the key issue...problems at altitude on a 2007. As an 07 owner who just experienced a near disabled bike at altitude I would say this thread most certainly has reason NOT to be moved. I was certain it was bad fuel. Later checked for...

    Where do you put your IPod?

    FWIW, my iPod Video goes in the top (clear) map holder of my Nelson Rigg CL-350 tank bag (btw, a *great* bag IMHO), even when I'm charging it. If necessary, I can even operate the click wheel through the map holder and do so while gloved. Being able to see the video screen is great for the...

    Took delivery, YIKES!!!

    I, for one, would be interested in knowing the name of this stealership since I will be in that area soon; should something drastic occur w/my bike I'd like to know where NOT to take it. In fact, I'd rather push it to the next state then deal w/such incompetence. :angry: If for some reason...
