    RTE Central Florida for June

That is a good place Vic. Guy Harvey is going to redevelop that property. So Lightseys will have to move at some point. I don't think anything is suppose to happen in the next few months.

If you have a cruiser as an "other" bike...

I am lucky. My wife has a scout, so I can ride one on occasion. Actually it's a fun little bike to ride. I would put it a notch above a normal cruiser. It handles well, has a better lean angle and is faster then most cruisers. It's a nice change of pace from the FJR.

If you have a cruiser as an "other" bike...

I still have a cruiser. Well, I should say I still own a cruiser, it stays at my sons house most of the time. I still like the bike. It's nice for slow cruises on the beach roads. We do a couple group charity type rides a year. It is good for that. I had the cruiser before I got the FJR, it's...

    RTE Central Florida for June

I have not be paying attention, which of course as my wife will tell you is not unusual. I didn't realize this was on for tomorrow. We are supposed to stay home and get some stuff done around the house....but............a RTE sounds like so much more fun.

Regular vs Heavy rated tires question

I have run the PR4GTs and now have a set of PR4 non GTs. I notice no difference in the handling or the ride. I do however seem to be having a big difference in mileage. I think I am only going to get about 75% as many miles off the nonGT PR4s. I have to look up some invoices to be sure of exact...

    Ambient air temp sensor location?

I actually find my sensor pretty accurate except when the engine is hot and the bike parked. When the bike is sitting with a cold motor or going down the road it's pretty close to correct. It's a 2013A. After the bike has been run it causes a high reading (5-7 over) when I first start out...

    RTE Central Florida for June

I am good with putting it off. My FJR is in the shop. My son has my big cruiser. So I would be stuck riding in the rain on a Honda Shadow! I love you guys, but I am rethinking 3.5 hour of riding the Interstate in the rain on a shadow.

Going to Barber Motorsports museum. What are some don't miss rides.

I had my GPS set to curvy road the last few hours last time I went to Barbers. Right before I got to Barbers it took me down a little short curvy road. I thought for a minute I was on someone's private drive. It's called Bailey Rd. Certain not a destination, but a cool little road not a mile or...

    RTE Central Florida for June

Just to be sure. This place right? https://www.snackjacks.com/ I have to take the FJR in for the Valve Check. Hopefully I will get it back before Saturday. If not I'll just ride another bike.

Pilot Road 4 GT tires disintegrating?!

Never 2 up. I am about 195. At times loaded bags and gear but usually not. That's why I was disagreeing. Pretty light load for an FJR, but I am still seeing a big mileage different between the GT and non GT.

Is an FJR right for me?

If money is not a big issue get the 2016ES. There are dealers out there that have them. Generally an FJR is a long term purchase. Even if you ride quite a bit it's still going to last you for years. You only have to trade if you want to. I would get what I wanted to start with. I got a 2013A...

Pilot Road 4 GT tires disintegrating?!

"If you are average weight and do not ride 2 up there is no need to run GT tires." Give me a few more months and I think I am going to disagree with this. I wore out a set of GTs. Now I am on a set on Non-GTs. I think I am going to get about 75% of the mileage out of the non-GTs compared to...

Is an FJR right for me?

My opinion to the original poster. I am just a little over 5'9", but only 31" inseam. I have rode the FJR for several years and only had a couple minor problems. Once I had to do a quick stop when I was almost to get on the road. I dropped the bike cause the parking lot was so uneven. Lesson...

Michelin Pilot Road 4 - GT version?

I am going to have to look back to get exact numbers. I don't think I am getting the same mileage out of the non-GT tires. I got very good life out of the GT version, you can see the post above. Looks like I am going to get about 75% of that on the non-GT. Maybe the stiffer sidewalls on the GT...

    Vertically Challenged on the FJR?

I think anyone who actually rides will give that man due respect.

    Vertically Challenged on the FJR?

When I was in North Carolina I dropped my FJR. I was getting a front tire later that week and the mechanic was about 4'9". He told me in a thick southern draw. "You better get your ass off the seat and your feet on the ground with this bike."

    Key West

"Just know that the speed limits are 30 or 35 mph and patrolled by the National Park Police" From what I remember most of the BRP is 45 with some areas 35. Most of the skyline is 35. I haven't really seen over zealous patrols by the Park Service. The people I saw stopped had generally passed...

    RTE Central Florida for June

Plan A - Be nice and take votes and get a consensus. Plan B - Do like I did. Name a place, time and date and throw out and invite. Worked well for me and for Tony about a month later. We had good attendance at both events. Seriously, I don't know that area really well. I would rather a local...
