    Cheating on Him ?

I never dropped acid... but I'm groovn on your trip, man. Far out! This could have have been put under a ride report heading. Seriously, I understood. Happy accidents to ya!

Rider gets stuck on back tire.

Coming down on Florida are ya. Tags don't look Fl. And not that means much to squids anywhere, but state law says no vertical plate mounting. Besides, they dress like those Southpark cartoon kids. What state are they from again? Just firing back a little, but your right about those exposed...

In Search Of: The Perfect Windscreen

Really...no screen at all? ok I'm off to take Aerodynamics 101 refresher if I'm reading this right.

I'd bet he's 49 but a kid at heart. So, not an OLD fart...but perhaps still a fart!

    bracket for mounting Escort 9500

uuuuuummmmm. That's kind of vague. You have to put a liitle more effort into it than that. And...there might be a better heading to put this subject under. The short smart-ass answer is... "Escort". They even have them suction cup thingies for the windshield. Did I pass the test? Real answer...

Less Expensive Alternative To Kermit Chair?

Yeah. I understand. After riding most of a day getting to the camp site, there were a few things that were competing for top 5 or so to do. One, was a place sit without my legs split to each side of the seat. That was first order of seating. Second, I wanted something to lean my back against...

    Smuggler Project

Dang Riona. Who are you? (This is a mentally stimulating thread with great feedback. I'm impressed.) This project, and how you're applying a sequenced logic working toward a functionally well-rounded product is so cool. You lay out the analyses so well. Apparently I don't meet many minds that...

    Smuggler Project

Oh yeah...I little critique I had about that art concept was the front of the "box". Seems angled a bit too far forward at the top and might be annoying to the lower back for those that sit more upright. Just saying.

    Smuggler Project

As I recall, it's a photoshop dream image by a member, and it doesnt really exist. The gas tank fab was part of the discussion on how to possibly fabricate it. If you do this, be cool to the original designers of the art and the Smuggler by making it different enough to call your own...

    Throttle Rocker/Crampbuster Issue

SoCalFJR1300, Warmer climate riders (like myself) might wear the sleeve cuffs over the (shorty) gloves. We welcome the "breeze up the sleeve" and having the "rain to drain" over the gloves and not in them. I left the velcro cuff closures too loose one time and caught the Crampbuster while...

    The term "Farkle"

Not just to add another breath of life to an old thread...I remember saying "farkles" decades ago (80s?) to describe all the fancy and sparkly doodads that (insert forgotten-named-person) had on their automobile. They weren't add-ons, just all the factory offered options. Something like, "Looks...

Help a brother out! :) Cast vote on FB

I like it, but a voter probally needs to be a Facebooker. I'm not. Do you have the camera taped to a broom handle off the left side to get that shot or is that just lens choice?

    WTF is this?

The site says, "And used with a little skill, its also great for opening bottles!" Oh really? Like the way a rock can open a bottle?!!

NEP Throttle Lock photos on line

bwv, When I said "roll off the throttle" I'm meaning manually rolling it off to reduce the RPMs, otherwise it will do it's job and hold it's position by placing pressure on the end of the throttle grip, thereby allowing you to shake the blood back into your hand, scratch, or whatever. When you...

NEP Throttle Lock photos on line

I have the Kaoko too. I never had the Throttlemeister but from what I recall they work the same. Kaoko is smaller and blends with the look of the FJR. It doesn't have a left bar match or any weight for vibration dampening. It has a knurled ring to tighten. A roll or two with the pinky while...

    From FLAtlandistan to FredW,Mcatrophy,and Flagstaff.Thanks!

Thanks KevinJax. If there was a thread on it... I missed it, and was curious to as to why not the the other choices. (Hadn't thought of the vibrator thing) Wow...that answer was "simple" (Fly Bye) and really did do a better job of answering my question than I did at answering it (mcatrophy).
