    Removing Clutch

I just did mine 08 and here are some tips. 1. You can do this with the bike on the side stand. No need to drain the oil. 2. The hardest part for me was removing the side panel. There is a self taping screwing holding the evaporation canister facing forward from the inside (back side) of the...

    Rear rack / Garuld

I just received my small rear rack for my 08 from Garuld today. And like everyone else, it is a piece of art. Nice and light, and really goes with the lines on the bike. Looking forward to using it on my up coming trip. Thanks again Gary :yahoo: Joc

    Hard turning in

+1 Mine will handle like a pig, if the tire pressure is just a couple of lbs low. Having the front tire wear on one side is quite common if you do a lot of freeway riding with the crown of the road causing the left side of the tire to wear more. Rick

    Head Knocking

Here is one way to check. 1. Put the bike on the center stand. 2. Have a friend sit on the bike and pull the brake lever, and lean back, so that the front wheel is off the ground. 3. You set in front of the bike and grab both front forks and try to pull toward you and push away from you. If...

So; Just to be on the safe side. I am going to pull the clutch pack out of the bike to make sure the plates do not need a good soaking. Give the local dealer a call, and he states he will need to order the clutch cover gasket. Contact the forum supporter, and found out that the 08 clutch cover...

    08 clutch problems

I have 1200 miles on my 08. Here is what I am finding. First thing in the morning when cold. Now cold for us west coast folks is low 40's. It will clunk, but once warm up, shift smoother. Also, it will also depend on your foot location when shifting. I have found that if my foot is closer to...
