Thanks for asking...

Here's my 2 cents. You'd BETTER get some pics posted up in this mother! I struggle with the written word,

so I NEED to see roads and scenery and motorcycles and weenies posing. Can you help me out here? :D

Glad it went well, and look forward to the pics. Wish I coulda been there.

I had a fine time on the ride this morning. Thanks for inviting me along.

I Met Brian (FJRONAMISSION) and Rick (jocflier) at Brian's house in Jan Jose. Glad you guys waited for me, I got turned around in a simple housing tract. We slabbed it to Rick's house near West Menlo Park so he could change bikes and drop off a package, then headed west into the hills.

We headed up Sand hill road, Portola road to Alice's Resturaunt for breakfast. Rick's friend Cliff met up with us as we were parking the bikes. It was around 8:00 and wasn't crowded yet, but Ducati had their Semi parked and was setting up for Ducati day at Alice's. I can imagine the throng of people showing up later. I'm glad we had a nice breakfast and got away early.

After breakfast we did a modified "Harry Wong" loop on the peninsula. We left Alices's west on La honda road (84), hooked up with Pescadero road and headed toward the coast. Nice roads, through the trees, lots of turns and elevation changes. We took it easy on this bit since this was our first time riding together. Rick and Cliff changed lead a couple of times since they knew the route. Brian followed and I pulled up the rear. Group riding is a bit different then riding solo, you got to pay attention and drive your own ride and don't fixate in the bike in front of you. Our pace felt a bit quick until I worked on looking ahead up the road. I felt fine after that.

We turned right and headed south on Rt.1 along the coast for a while till we reached Davenport. Highway 1 is pretty but full of cages. We didn't push it through this stretch. Turned left past Davenport onto Bonny Doon road, veered right onto Pine Flat road, and took that up to Empire Grade road. After passing a few cars we picked up the pace. It's a joy to follow a smooth rider up front. He really instills a lot of confidence within the group.

Headed north on Empire Grade to a very treacherous piece of asphalt called Jamison Creek road. This little gem will get ya if you aren't paying attention. It's down hill, about 2 miles long, not in the best of shape, but the turns are great! Slow down - they come up quick and are very sharp. Several blind off camber decreasing radius turns await to throw you from your line into oncoming traffic. All and all a great road to test how smooth you are when it gets tight. We then turned north on Big Basin way (236) (9) and followed the twists and turns up to the rest spot at Big Basin and Skyline. Thats where Rick and Cliff split up and went their seprate ways. Brian and I continued on down the hill to where we parted company in Saratoga.

I must say I really enjoyed the company and the chance to ride. Sorry I didn't take any pictures, Brian was the photographer for the ride.

We got to do it again some time Brian, Thanks!

Brodie

It was nice meeting both of you. Brodie did a very good job in telling the tale. I want to thank both of you for a fine ride, and getting a chance to meet new folks. Looking forward to the photos. Brodie if I ever need some wiring done on my bike, you will be the first one I will call. WOW.

Rick / Jocflier :D

I am missing a couple more pics... if I find them I will post them .......

The ride was great!.. just like Brodie said... thanks guys!! it was worth it ....... :yahoo:

Brian,You said this was your first time, what is your impression about "The Twilight Zone" aka Jamison Creek road?

I bet it kept you busy.

It was too ruff and tight.... ridin a motard or gokart or ?? would be funner ... is funner even a word !? :dribble:

lets ride some more... like today... my household doesn't get their butts up till 10am and they don't get up to

speed until noonish... so that means I can ride 6am till 1pm pretty much every weekend.... you know the roads and

about how long to complete the ride....... lets do this....... FJRM :assassin:

Nice report and pictures guys. :thumbsupsmiley:

How could you resist taking up residence at the front of the line for a spin on one of those Hyper-Motards?

That bike whispers sexy and roars thug all at the same time!

Thanks for the report and pics.

In the first pic, what is the frame on the back of the FJR?

Is that an antenna mount?
