Not trying to steal the thread but when you all are talking about the sub-frame, are you talking about the rack that the topbox mounts to. Secondly, if going with a Givi topbox, should one just buy the Givi topbox mounting rack rather than mount to the FJR's rack.

I had GIVI side bags on my Connie. From time to time they would get scuffed from my boots but a little wax buffed the scuff marks right out. I ride solo so it not hard for me to take a little extra time to avoid the bags but with passengers its a little harder.

No scratches from my tag bag as well. The bottom has a foam type material on it.
