The problem is, if you don't have the Yamaha code reader, you don't see the codes that are in the manual. When my TPS was acting up, I got these codes on the Torque Pro app: C1555 'chassis' P1EC3 'engine' P1EF5 'engine'. None of those codes are in the manual.

I have the adapter and use Torque Pro. As best as I can tell, Yamaha uses proprietory codes. I don't believe motorcycles are required to comply with requirements for autos to use standard codes. I could not find much info on the codes I saw. But I could reset them. I had a code related to a...

I had 129K miles on my '06 when I let it go, and it had the original clutch. I wonder if the previous owner did not soak the friction plates in oil prior to install.

You said the front end was gone. Does that include the ECU?

And its also on MAX. I watched every race on MAX yesterday, MotoGP3, MotoGP2, and the main race. Appears both the MotoGP and the sprint race are on both MAX and truTV.

On my '06, code 19 was tripped by the ignition switch. Replaced the switch (twice over the 129K miles) and it got rid of the code.

Yamaha still shows the "C" models up through 2023, so there is still a specific California model, it appears.

I like the Givi topbox over the OEM. But I could go with no topbox. Will there be colors? Looks a little bland all grayish. But otherwise, I like it.

Yeah, from the parts diagram for 2007: THROTTLE SENSOR 3P6-85885-00-00 My Gen III TPS issue was that the throttle got very jerky, minor stumbling. The GEN III OBD codes didn't make any sense. Replaced the TPS and all was good.
