    Auburn, WA, KFG Racing

After 45,000 miles on under-sprung OEM suspension, it was time to freshen up the feejer as a new bike was out of the question. And a new bike doesnt solve the under-sprung suspension problem. As I searched the local area for suspension specialists, I learned that there was only one that was...

    Driving light mounted low

Hey neighbor, Glenn is the owner of Clearwater Lights. I too, like Bluesdog, have the Clearwater Darla lights in the same spot. For traffic purposes, my experience is that most opposing traffic waiting to turn left in front of me see me because I've had them wait at farther distances. Fork...

    OR WA Lane Sharing Legistlation

I sat in on a town hall last week with Oregon Senator Kruse in Sutherlin. No offense to anybody but there was a lot of blue hair there. My buddy and I were the only motorcyclists there. Everybody else was really honed in on the gun control bill and marijuana. I really hope there was a better...

    OR WA Lane Sharing Legistlation

I just emailed Senator Jeff Kruse. I shared with him my perspective as a LEO and how I am in favor of the practice. I even offered to testify before the legislative body. Hopefully, he will take me up on the offer. Dems like cleaner air. Sitting in traffic on a bike does not contribute to...

    Heated grips or heated gloves...?

I have found that most heated glove or winter glove are thick making it harder to operate controls. My set up is Firstgear Explorer gloves and Firstgear heated glove liners. The Explorer glove is waterproof, windproof, and light but still containing 40 grams Thinsulate, I believe. The glove...

Sargeant seat(with pillon backrest) work with Givi?

I have a Sargent seat with backrest on my '08. I also run the Givi V47 with SW-Motech steel toprack. I am unable to utilize the Sargent backrest when the trunk is attached. Hope this helps. When I go 2up in the future with my son, I'll spring for the Givi trunk backrest.

    Gen 2 Radiator Guard Upgrade

+1. I felt the same way with my '08. I'm running the same set-up. Around here there are plenty of rocks and sand deposited by off-roaders and sanding trucks for the ice and snow. Didn't need to be shut down by a coolant leak. I just replaced my battery after five years. Just in case. I...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

Hey Nervous, the website is deceiving. There is no four positions like it shows. You lock down the hardware where you want the bars to be; sweep angle-wise. I bought them for the angle adjustment not for the bars to be brought back closer.

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

Since I've had them for awhile... Best money spent next to the PC III. Went on a 750 mile 2 day short mancation. No more wrist pain for this cat! :yahoo:

Thanks to all that attended. I saw a few more FJRs this year. Great route this year. Territorial Hwy twisties were a treat at the end. See ya next year.

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

I did a fair amount of searching but was unable to locate a US distributer. So needless to say, straight from the shop.

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

So first off, shipping was via UPS Express and arrived as promised. Ordered Wendesday and received on Monday. I looked over the parts and finish was as expected. Everything looked pretty straight forward for the install. Good thing since most of the paperwork was in German. Switching from...

New Mv Handlebar Risers with angle adjustment!

So I've got the GenMar risers on the feejer. The triple clamp system wasn't one that I was interested in because it accomplished the same as the less expensive GenMar ones. The GenMar ones work as advertised. I like farkles but being made of money I am not. My wrists aren't the greatest due...

New Mv Handlebar Risers with angle adjustment!

Okay fellas, after careful review, I sprung for it. My wrists are uncomfortable after 500 mile loops. Good that I'm doing this now because I'm traveling to SoCal later this summer. Ordered it Wednesday and according to UPS, it scheduled for a quick delivery on the 11th. Somehow, I don't have...
