My FJR found a new home after the Colorado NAFO, but I still think you guys are relatively cool... ;)
Would you mind terribly if I made the trip on an "unFeejer"?
Would you possibly be interested in a Corbin Close? Got a custom blue leather one I'm looking to get rid of. Nothing wrong with it, just pulling stuff off the feej to prep for sale.
PM plz, I don't check in here too often.
My impression is that Yamama has always been like that. They build a great product, but once you bought it they're done with you. "Got your money, thanks! Now get lost until you can destroy that and need another one."
Just my opinion, but that's the way I've seen it over the past 5 Yami's...
Pirelli Diablo Stradas. It's my third set and I love them. The other two sets lasted almost 10,000 miles.
I'm not at all surprised that the front cupped on this set. It was definately my fault, not the tires. I was two up in the mountains and I was riding harder than I usually do by myself...
Sorry dude, gotta disagree with ya. If all someone did was ride to the hotel, attend NAFO and ride home, you might be right.
Those of us who know better made it into a ride. Extravagant and special. The ride is what you make it. I chose to make it 10 days instead of 5 and to see a big chunk...
I'm gonna have to be one of the politically incorrect on this thread... We flogged the speed limits pretty much the whole way to NAFO, up to Yellowstone and back to Virginny. The V1 helped, but there was very little enforcement of any kind (especially compared to what I'm used to on my half of...
"So far" is now "done". ;)
We're back home in Springfield, VA. We rolled in at about 0'dark-thirty last night. That was promptly followed by shower, food and 12 hours of much needed sleep.
Totals...
Distance: 5060 miles
Time: 10 days
Points of note: Golden - CO (NAFO), Yellowstone NP -...
Hey all,
Just wanted to shoot a quick message out...
NAFO was great! Great riding, great folks and an excellent venue.
Jim (Patent1) and I are still working our way home. We spent three days in Yellowstone and are now in Clear Lake, IA. A couple more 500 mile days will see us back hoe in...
I have one, it sits flush... won't pop out when tossed in a bag with other stuff.
Lemme track down my linux geek off-road buddy. I know he's got smthng for loading up the GPSs, but I don't remember what.
Thanks for the suggestions, but none of them were what I was looking for. Surprisingly, they sent me an email this morning (first one I've had in smthng like two years)...

I've see this (or errors very similiar) on my GPS V, my 2610 and a 276C. It's generally caused by Mapsource and the GPS using different algorithms to calculate the routes. The common way to cause this error is to have a route planned out in Mapsource (or any other software), upload it to the...
Sandisk Sansa E250/260/280... Excellent little players, pretty cheap. Nice wheel controller, easy menus, supports resuming of stopped playback after poweroff if you know how to do it (important for podcasts and audiobooks). Supports both Windows using MTP mode and supports anything as a mass...
Hey all, this is really stupid, but it's bugging me...
Some time ago, I signed up on some site somewhere that kept lists of stuff. You filled out your lists of stuff like "places I've been" or "National Parks I've visted" and other wierd geo-location stuff like that and it would generate neat...
Tejas, if you still can't figure it out, reply to this or shoot me a PM and I'll post up a shot of mine. Got 30k on it and hasn't come off yet... must have done smthng right. ;)
Suhweet... See y'all in six months. That might be just long enough to bolt on that pile of miscellaneous carp I have laying the garage... springs, shock, stator... ;)
