I just put mine in the glove box and never had a problem going through toll booths in several places in MD, PA, and Delaware. It rests inside on top without any attachments. I only put it there when I know I'll need it.

If you are mostly concerned about putting it on the centerstand to work on the bike, roll the back wheel onto a board to lift it an inch or so first then pull it up onto the centerstand. Bill
