Jo, Well, I could not find an FJR in our area and I really liked the BMW R1200RT. It is a twin and does not have the pull that a four cylinder has, but the ergos and lighter weight is great and I love this bike. So, I ended up buying the beemer. Glad to hear that you are happy with yours...

Hey, everyone, yikes, I need help! I rode a fellow member's 06 today and spent enough time on it, for the first time, and found the buzz many have mentioned. I have tendinitis pretty bad and vibration really is painful :angry2: So........I am really bumbed. The bike had grip puppies and...

Yup, that was me. :) Went looking for your pics and the poll on Streetmasters and kept getting so distracted by other threads, never did find the Streetmasters one, but I will. This forum is a fun one and I am going out to ride a fellow members bike today. If it turns out he does not want...

Hey RogDeb! I remember you both. I was secretly drooling over your bike and very proud of your wife for sitting there all day during the class! Great to be here and really excited to be getting into the FJR. Sounds like there are a few ladies that will be fun to get to know. Not so sure...

Hi Kasey, What a relief after wading thru all the boys comments to hear from you!!! Bumber you moved out of the Northwest. Will stay in touch and cannot wait to actually get this hard to find bike. Huge decision to make the leap, but think it will be well worth it. Nice to hear you like...

Shoulda fingered I would get a variety of responses on this one! I am a serious rider and not so serious a person. I am hooked on bikes and cannot wait to get my own fjr. My husband and I do almost all our own work on our bikes and have added quite a few nice little things to our STs. IMHO...

This is a great forum and from the reading I have done to date which is not all that much, I am wondering if there are any women fjr riders out there? I am coming off of an ST1300 and am looking forward to slightly less weight and the fun of the fjr. Never did find any women on the...

    FJR1300A vs. ST1300 non ABS

Thanks for the advice. Now, I just need to find a bike! There are no 06's left that my dealer can find. There is a used 06 bike in our area for sale, but it looks like I am second in line at this point. Ugh. Oh well, maybe the other guy will back out........

    FJR1300A vs. ST1300 non ABS

Excellent thread. I am a new member and am reading as much as I can to learn about this bike. I currently own an 05 ST1300. I also, have a deposit on an FJR. I can relate to most of the comments made by everyone. The appeal of the ST just is not there for me as much as I have tried, it just...

OK, I'll consider myself initiated.......thanks for the reply. Nice to be here and I am reading as much as I can trying to learn more about this great bike. The ST1300 is also a great bike, but just not me. I like the looks of the FJR a ton more than the ST, the little bit more sportier...

Hi - Just ordered an FJR and am a new member and trying to catch up on what folks are doing to their bikes and saw this thread. Rich, did I see that you are looking for an ST1300? If you are, I am selling mine. I have an 05, with McCruise installed and a few other things. Let me know if you...
