From what I can piece together, there were 19 capitals available on leg one. The Sperrys also missed ND and PA. If you only get credit for the capitals on the legs that they are offered, then no one is in the running for a 48-state capital bonus. Re-reading this ...

From Austin's update, they didn't get Key West on leg 2 and that same update is where it seems that the capitals are going to offset the Leg 3 4-corners plan. Seems there is going to be a big surprise when they open that last pack. :o :blink:

If I'm reading between the lines correctly, 4-corners isn't going to work for anyone that tries for KW on leg three. The capital bonii must increase exponentially tomorrow.

Dammit! Did that to myself. OK, so the shortest route to get Blaine, Madawaska and back to Cheektowaga is 4163, but that skips a lot of states and goes from Detroit through Canada. But, now I don't even have to look at the riders who rode less than 4163. That eliminates a few anyway. More...

184 passed I-90, so definitely going for MI. 3:15 until the checkpoint opens and 5:15 until he is time barred. I will be shocked if he makes it.

Probably not a bad bet since they got so far east, so early. Good use of time since yesterday. Still should get plenty of rest before tomorrow's start.
