What Else Can I Do To My FJR?

Most importantly, you're walking and talking! I guess now you can write in to the AMA mag's 'crash course' section, right? Seriously, glad you're OK and thanks for relating the scenario....looks like Skoot still has you beat though...maybe he has some leftover Vicodin... :dribble: now we've...

    My Cat's Been Acting Strange

Oh, no! He might need a CATSCAN! :dribble: :yahoo: :clapping:   :D :P ;) Oh, man! Sometimes I'm really funny...and then there's now...... But please, no more silly images!...let me spell it out for you in black and white:

    Mature Riders and FJR's

I'm 44...but parts of me are 18! ;) Yeah, that's right...that's the ticket. Just ask my wife, Morgan Fairchild...yeah, that's right.... :P My first bike (believe it or not) was my used '82 GS1100L; very 'user friendly' & comfortable.

    Well, well, well . . .

Do the passenger footpegs look really high? I didn't notice that so much when I saw it in person at the CycleWorld show down here; but now that I have seen these photos, they appear a lot higher than the FJRs; bad news for pillions if that is the case.

    The new 'Neander' diesel bike

https://www.neander-motors.com/ Had to check out the website after seeing it in CycleWorld...crazy Germans! They call it a 200% bike: 100% *** and 100% rock & roll! (Uh, isn't that what FJRs are?) The website has other humorous bits...I especially like how they call a drive chain 'an...

Wife getting better after the accident....

Yeah, your right Matt..I apologize....not trying to turn it into a dreaded political thread. I guess what really gets to me is that no one saw the accident, not even me; I was about 100 yds ahead over a small rise; in addition the troopers never talked to her or got a statement; (they did have...

Wife getting better after the accident....

As a lot of you will recall, my wife had nasty get-off about 3 weeks ago while we were on some back roads on the way from SugarLand to Fredricksburg (Tx). (That story is a few pages back in this same sub-category, in case you didn't catch it then..) The accident occured in Bastrop county...

    Headlight modulator

Hey Dutch... I have not used one; I can tell you the few times I have seen them on the road, it does draw attention to you fast, and from a great distance; that can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on your perspective (i.e. relative geographic position to LEOs cross-referenced with...

So what say U about mo loud pipe restrictions?

At the annual 'Lonestar Rally' they have in Galveston (Texas) one need only walk down the main drag to 'enjoy' the problem. The open-pipe Harley dudes all roll by, nose-to-tail, parade mode, revving their engines until all the storefront glass is shaking....forget about having a conversation...

I can't get your link to work; even tried to cut & past it in another browser...try posting it again.

Bad day for the FJR and me

You would have thought the officer would have exhibited some common sense....do most grand theft auto felons engage in casual conversation, walk into a store, buy a soda?...doesn't exactly 'fit the profile'... uh oh, wait a minute...I read this on the internet, so it must be true..... 'The...

    new bike, newly dead

Well, the poor guy must have been wearing a helmet, since the press omitted the obligatory 'he was not wearing a helmet....' statement. :glare: I feel for the guys family...makes you wonder if an MSF course could have prevented the collision; not that their bikes bear any resemblance to an R1...

    Russell Seat Question

    1) Rolled in at 8 - 8:30, they had my work order sitting on the counter awaiting my arrival; was done by 4 pm; when I arrived to pickup the seat, it was raining; they made space in their bay so I could park out of the weather - nice. 2) Yes 3) Seat is a bit higher, (i.e. ~ 1/2 inch) however...

My wife went down.....in a bad way!

@madmike2 (and everybody else).... Update for you: Susan is recovering...some contusions appeared on her chest, (sternum) some 2 days after the accident...pretty unusual; soreness to match as you might imagine. She also has other various contusions on her arms; the worst contusions are on her...
