I crashed with slow wits and slow speed

Ouch, Shiney, heal quickly. You now have a better understanding of how the FJR handles in the mud.

    2009 FJR constipation

How would have liked to put $500 down for the right to order one in Jan with expectation of it arriving in July or August. That was called the PDP in 03. You're not alone. It's worth the wait. Glenn

    Yee Haw! I'm back

Great looking bike You might want to consider Sliders before you do too much riding. Glenn

    Hi Way Pegs Finished

I would imagine they would be great for relief on the long highway drones. Obviously, they would be in their full upright position when attacking the twisties. Glenn

    New tires

Go to your local twisties and have at it. Easy does it for the first 50 miles, of course.

Does Yamaha still give out the FJR Hats with new bikes??

I don't think so. I got one with my 03 but not the 07. Glenn

    The 03silverbullet is no more

Thats a bummer. Its nice you were well enough to ride it home. I could get the wife to make you an apple pie if it would make it to CA. Glenn

Scatches in left fairing, by tank

    How would Yamaha do it?

    No wider than the shaft.

    How would Yamaha do it?

Isn't the Ducati ST3 about 550 lbs? That would be the design bogey Yamaha would have to shoot for if the FJR was to lose 100lbs. V-Twin, Trellis frame, and Chain drive. For me, the weight doesn't bother me. Glenn

Do you ever get the urge to try something totally different?

So no one is up for a write-in campaign to have Yamaha bring in the 660 Tenere?

    2008 Buell 1125r (Rotax-power)

Chris D,Yamaha does have an Adventure bike called the Tenere 660, but they don't sell it in this country. May be coming out with a 1200cc version later as well. Glenn

    Concealed radar/laser detector

Thats where my V-1 resides. Beneath the false floor of my tank bag. Along with all my other goodies. The tank bag is powered by a sinlge cord going to a BMW type outlet in the front right D panel. Its worked great for years, Although I didn't realize they could detect my detector before I could...
