Your right infidel...........I was wondering where my post went. I figured I did something wrong and it disappeared. Anyway.............im thinking of using the non synthetic rotella. I a little concerned about harming the clutch with synthetic oil. I'm going with the bosch oil filters. Thanks

Never mind the last question about adjusting the seat height. I figured it out. There is a plastic tab that has to be removed in order to insert the stabber in the high position. It's directly under the gas tank.

Thanks for all the help..............I know i'm going off the subject again but I'm going to throw one more issue out there that I can't figure out. The stock seat on the bike is set at the low position. I want to raise it to the high position to see if that fits me better. I read the manual to...

thanks......................I know what you mean about hot summers. I was riding in 103 degree heat the other day. If your moving it's not so bad but the traffic jambs can be pretty tough. I forgot to mention that the previous owner had changed out the stock windshield. It got an aftermarket...

Thanks.............This a off the subject but is it difficult to move the handlebars back a bit. I looked in the manual it says to let the dealer do it. I usually do all my own work (when practical). Is there something unusual about adjusting the handlebars on a fjr?

thanks for all the greetings and info. I'm convinced that I want to change out the throttle tube. I've seen a few on ebay for around 68 bucks or so. Do the local bike shops sell the G2? Does anyone know of a good source to purchase one.

I am probably opening a can of worms here. I am going to be doing my first oil change in the next few weeks and was wondering about what brand of oil to use. I know the manual says to use Yamaha brand oil. The only place that I know to purchase it is at the Yamaha dealer. I try to avoid...

I had a feeling that 48 mpg was to good to be true. I don't mind feeding her a little more fuel for smoother acceleration.

Thanks for the tip. I will practice the finesse throttling until I am able to install the g2. I am going to try to get the seat adjusted to the right height today. I have a 34" inseam. I noticed that the bars have three different positions as well. Thanks Steve

I will definitely leave it hooked up. I used to own a bmw r1100rt. The surging at low rpm's was terrible. The frj seem to run pretty smooth and the throttle response seems to be about right at least as far as I can tell. The pc is probably helping with those issues. I am going to look into...

It appears to have the stock throttle tube. It's white plastic. I live in Boerne Tx.........about thirty miles west of San Antonio. The previous owner said there was a recall to replace the ecu........which he had done. He commented that the power commander wasn't really needed because of the...

I came across a great deal on a 2006 fjr today. 11k on the clock. Looks like new. I flopped down the cash and rode her home. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. It has a few aftermarket parts on the bike. A power commander and a K&N air filter. I am familiar with the K&N air filter but don't...
