I'm tired of my crappy FJR brakes. Will Galfer lines help?

I just want to be clear here. I said I think my brakes are crappy. But the bike is not dangerous to drive and it doesn't need dealership attention. They just don't perform like I'd expect from a Yamaha bike. I just want them to be better. Now that I know that I should be able to engage ABS...

I'm tired of my crappy FJR brakes. Will Galfer lines help?

I guess I'll start checking everything over again. But I've pretty much been through it all already. All except the ABS pump. I did not know there was a way to activate it without riding it. I'll have to read that post. Thanks for finding that Dennis. Here's a few answers for those of you...

I'm tired of my crappy FJR brakes. Will Galfer lines help?

Not for a lack of trying. I've had a handful of brake on that bike many times and I've never felt the ABS. Well, I guess I'll be troubleshooting that this weekend.

    No-Mar Tire Install

The michelins are the easiest I've done on my nomar. Continentals were by far the hardest. When I was starting out, I really struggled with the last little bit of the rear. I was using the lube in the right spots, but I found the tire would rotate no matter how tight. I used a bar inside the...

I'm tired of my crappy FJR brakes. Will Galfer lines help?

Yup, I use both brakes. I've learned to use both even before I got the FJR. I bleed them every year. I use pretty good quality fluid. 2 years ago I even thought I had some contamination in the pads so I replaced them too. I've never found my FJR brakes to be all that great. But last year I...

Givi V56 Maxia-4 Top Case Purchase

I just bent the little tabs that act as stoppers. So on one side it goes past the stopper position. And I just give it a quick pull towards me when I want to release it. Very easy fix. Mine never falls, even in wind.

Farkling - The story so far.

I got the same Givi setup. I love it. I even got the remote control.

I'm tired of my crappy FJR brakes. Will Galfer lines help?

Of all the bikes I've owned I'd have to say the FJR brakes have been the crappiest. Yes, I know its a heavy bike and its a linked system and and and. I don't care about the excuses I keep telling myself. Surely braided lines can help. The only braided lines I've every had were on my KTM...

Garmin Zumo 590 Firmware 3.10 Bug

I find with Zumo firmware updates that re-pairing afterwards is a good practice. When I went to 3.1 I repaired the Sena 20s and iPhone all over again and it all seemed to work out OK.
