I got my 2022 in November. Got my side cases last week. Now I feel lucky.

Did a couple of Costco boneless pork butts last weekend. Turned out good.  Smoked with apple wood for about 4-5 hours, then wrapped and put in a 225f oven till they hit 203f. Let them rest them pull them. Eat what we want. There were only two of us. Vacuum seal the rest for easy prep later. 

For the next two months Saturdays work better for me. After the end of July everyday is Saturday for me!!!!!

Nate sent me a picture of the bike and asked to me to post it. Looks like the perfect bike for a 1000 ride. 😃

My Corbin seat instructions said to remove it before installing the Corbin seat. So I guess it depends on the aftermarket seat.  

We use to have a pretty good crowd for these. I miss doing them.  I for one would be interested in doing one again.  How many guys are still around that would be interested.  Most of us that ride FJR are old and have had all our shots so it should be safe. 😄

I love the Yamaha triples. I have not rode the touring version but I have an MT09. I love it as a day rider.  I can certainly see myself switching over to the touring model one day to replace the FJR. The good thing for me is I don't ride two up and my legs are still good so maybe that will be...

I would have never guessed Hill Country. It was much browner than that when I went. I was racking my brain to remember something like that in Arkansas. Cool thread.  Makes me know I need to get out more. I have only recognized a few places in the East and the really easy ones out west. 

I always enjoy these RTE. Good time to see old friends and meet new one.  The restaurant was a little slow but it gave us time to visit. My burger was pretty good once I got it.  Perfect day to ride. The wind was blowing pretty good, but I will take that over heat any day. 

The guy on the Blue FJR might have been the same one I saw earlier in Lake Placid. Don't think he was part of our group. 

I wish they would offer that trunk as an option. I like it better than the Corbin Smuggler. 

I helped with a charity event a few years ago. I stood over one of those and sauteed onions for about two hours.  I actually loved cooking on it. I would love to have one at the house. You could cook up some nice stir fries on that thing.
