'03 "ticking"

Looking at an '03 with almost 23K miles on it. Sounds good to me...I've had 1 '03 and 2 '04's and over 300K miles. At what mileage does ticking "normally" begin ? I'm thinking if it's not ticking at 23K it should be good to go ??? Thanks !

Covered in many, many threads before...but 20K+ is the butter zone IMO to have developed the tick if its going to.

I own a recovering ticker and feel with those miles if it was going to be a ticker it would have done it by now. Mine was at around 16k when it finally got fixed.

My 04 was a massive ticker when I bought it used with 8300 miles on it.

My 04 started at 10k.

Agree with Iggy most started before 20k.
