'04-'05 ABS hydrolic unit

Looking to buy a used ABS hydrolic unit. Mine went out a couple of weeks ago.

I just found that out. The dealer quoted me $1,400 for the part and $300 labor.

Yup. Unless you can snag a used one off ebay for a few hundred clams and do the work yourself, I think it's time to ride a non-abs FJR.

You are looking for Part # 5VS-85930-09-00 HYDRAULIC UNIT ASSY. You can get the part from yamahasportsplaza.com for $905.18 plus shipping. That is about what my dealer charged me for it when I had mine replaced a couple of years back. Mine was rusted open. I think I paid ~ $1200 total to have it replaced, which would put the labor somewhere around $300. Since I ride 2 up with the Mrs. it was a no-brainer for me; I had it replaced. It has saved my bacon 1 up a few times since then. It is expensive, but i'm worth it.
