Well, good thing then. 'Cause I try to keep my blue one on the road and as far from bonding with Mother Nature as possible (read: trees, swamps, bambi, etc.) :p

The 2004 FJR1300 is, by far, the best AND fastest of all the years. It's something about the silver that bonds with the organic blend of cosmic alpha particles... well. anyway, it's a chemical thing. :yahoo: :yahoo:
Yeah, it's a chemical thing alright. The chemicals they put in the '04 owners' kool-aide to help combat the denial.

Conratulations on the purchase of your '04 FJR.I hope you get as much fun out of your FJR as I have in the last four years and 52,000 miles.

As for the heat issue-it has never been a problem for me, and what heat that is there is a welcome bonus from September to April here in Ohio.

As for the ticking issue-mine was a ticker,I got a no hassle fix by a local dealer.

Sounds to me that you got a good deal on a great bike-enjoy!

I bought my 04 new and have 40,000 miles on it. The heat it gives off is really only an issue in July and August down here in Texas. Mine has been a good bike with no ticking problems. (So far) By the way, I'm not biased by color. The Gen I's are fastest.
