My opportunity to test the Norge was luck, as I spotted the semi-truck full of Guzzis @ the local dealership. They were doing demos en-route to the GUZZI NATIONAL. They offered up the Norge (to compare vs my Concours) twice!
I call that 'arrest-me-red' cause it sure gets the looks (from everybody). I like the sleeper look of the FJR/Connie better for ticket avoidance.
The engine was classic v-twin....lot's of torque. I found a little in the middle and very little top-end.
The ergos were great for touring, but not very sporty.
Fit and finish was good (compared to Connie) but not better than the FJR.
I just couldn't justify spending more $ for only half of my sport-tourer. I liked the 'tour' of the Guzzi, but was lacking the 'sport' of the FJR.
The next day the semi was @ the National in nearby Wisconsin, and a flash-flood got the entire truck and bikes into the river. Many others lost their bikes, trailers, even an RV or 2. All were a total loss....in so many ways.
