Unfortunately the storage compartment (Front left on the bike) failed. The button broke and after trying to repair I managed to just make things worse. I looked and it seems as it just comes as one assembly for around 120$-$150 which I cant seem to justify buying. Can you buy the smaller individual parts for it? I have to get the electrical tape off there. I haven't been able to find any used units either. Thanks!

Google is your friend. Lots of good ideas here. https://www.fjrforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=123268

So much easier to deal with - without having to put it in neutral...
That's awesome, sleek design exactly what I was looking for. No problem with the magnet coming off?

the Magnet did come off once - I may have not prepped the area properly first - I'd suggest some paint thinner to clean the spot on the plastic first, I should have used a 2 part epoxy from the get go, but you can decide what to do for your own. I also took the magnet to some sandpaper on that one side to rough it up and give it some more surface area...

The second time around I just goobered the hell outta it and its been fine ever since, still only used a gel type super glue laid it down under the magnet, then built it up around the sides. Seems to have done the trick this time.... I prefer the 2 part epoxy and would suggest that over the super glue but I was more in a hurry and making a quick fix so we could get under way, In fact I left the door open with the glue drying as we got under way, was GTG in a couple hours, I laid it on thick so it didn't dry very fast..

I took the lock off my '05 so I could get into the storage while riding to get a micro-fibre cloth to clean my face shield.
Get a Gen II, their glovebox will open whenever the ignition is on :) .

Hmmm that seems like a very inexpensive solution..... ;)
