How many Riders are using the recommended Ohlin's R&T 43 Fork Oil when they change their fork oil. This is 40.00 a Liter. Has anybody found a good substitute ?

We are supposed to change the fork oil too?

40 bucks a liter? How much is Bel-Ray?

Are you asking the question regarding a stock fork or one with Ohlins or other upgraded internals? Showa SS-7 matches the viscosity of Yamaha 01 fluid and is readily available at your local Honda dealer. Several of the PNW group have been using this fluid with good results. As always...YMMV

I am about to try Amzoil Suspension Fluid.... winter project.
I used Amsoil fork juice in preparation for the big trip this year. 10W. My fork oil had never been changed and the existing stuff has consistency of water with a helping of loon **** mixed in. I flushed out the forks really well with clean fork oil and filled with the Amsoil 10w. Firmed up the suspension front suspension really nicely. I'd use it again.

Now my forks are about to be pulled off and sent down to Cogent for the Ohlins group by. No doubt they'll be replacing all the bushings and seals as they've got over a 100K on them. Thats the problem with suspension wear, its usually so gradual that you really don't notice much of a change over time. I'm looking forward to being shocked by the rebuild.
