I can't wait to see one on the road. And, I want to read a comparison by someone who has had an '03-'05. It'll waaayy kewel to have a group ride and have '06s mixed in with the group.

Until then, nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah! 22 of us were out riding last weekend and I plan to ride to work tomorrow and Thursday. Dang, I'm glad I'm not a waiter! :D

i just go a deal better than GEICO!!!

$68 to fly southwest from south fla to d & h to pickup my '06!!!

yes, i'm just GUESSING on the date in late april...

we now return you to your waiter baiting...

I can fly from Oregon to Birmingham for $100 the first couple weeks of April but I have no idea when my 06 will be available at D&H. I would feel a lot better about booking a flight if the March waiters get word their bikes are in. If the March bikes slip into April, I imagine the April bikes may slip into May.

All you owners who bought in previous years, how many days/weeks notice did you get?

My '05 was supposed to be a September 2004 delivery, and I got "the call" from Renaa at D & H Wednesday September 29, 2004, saying that my bike(well, my crate) just arrived and I could pick the bike up on Saturday October 2nd.

I think all D & H knows is that it is in transit, and does not know whose bike will be there until it comes off the truck. Then it has to be assembled and prepped...so a few days notice is all you're likely to get. I don't know if it will be different this time around...

See UPDATE below ...
I called my dealer this afternoon (SouthBay Motorsports in National City, CA), and spoke with Ted. He then contacted corporate - and was told that the bikes were being held in wait for the sidecases. He was told 'towards the end of the month". And then he apologized, he doesn't like the situation either.

Essentially he's not getting paid his margin because of the bags.

He was also told that unlike in the past, they would not be released without the bags - however, he also said that we might get surprised.

Eff the bags - give me the wheels !!!

 :(

(gee - what's another two weeks after 5 months, eh?)

UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE

Called Ted again on Friday 17th- he now recognizes my voice. (Hmmmm .... wonder why ....)

He called HQ with me on hold - and was told they expect the bags on the 27th - so he expects to see the bikes at his dealership (110 miles south of Cypress) by Friday - (yes, children, that is still March) So - Maybe I can pick mine up on April 1 st? (wait a minute - -...... coincidence ?) ... :(
My story is near identical to yours. I often just check your posts to see the status of my bike lol. I'll give Ted another call next week though. (He knows my voice also) I just hope he doesn't get sick of us bugging him.

Still waiten to see the first arrival annouced on this board, cause I know mine will follow soon after...
