I forget my manual in NH this weekend so I am looking to see if someone can tell me what needs to be done in the 1st 600 mile service.

Thanks

Paul

 no, no valve check... that's the BMWs...

There is one thing missing from that list for the 600 mile service.

You are supposed to check the steering head bearings for looseness.

I found that also just wanted to make sure that one is correct since it is dated 2002. I'm assuming that there is no valve check then???
Valve check is at 26,000 miles. Just had mine done and all in spec. Cost about $200.

What!? 200 Somalians?! Holy cheap labor and parts Batadmin! I think it would be better to relate this service in terms of hours rather than dollars. My dealers are at $70 - 80/hour whereas others may be quite lower. I believe the book calls for 5 hours to perform this task, so Iggy's 200 translates to 40 bucks/hour vs. my 400/hour, not including parts... Seems most peeps have been spending around $500 when all said and done for the VC.

That alright I called a dealership today service dept told them I had a fjr he mentions a FJR600 also that the bike has to stay 4 to 5 hrs because they have to calibrate the carb and a bunch of other things. Now that funny
