I have a few complaints..... 06 Yamaha FJR1300 has the highest sticker price of all previous FJR's, but meanwhile you are getting less for your money! :angry2:

First, they take away the extra heat. :(

Second, they take away the tick. :dribble:

Now they take away the FJR side Emblem. NOW THAT'S WHERE I DRAW THE LINE!

No seriously, I was alittle disappointed when the first pictures of the 06 FJR were released only because the side emblems were missing. Yes I know that the FJR is on the side cover but I really liked the emblem on the fairing. So I ordered 05 emblems & placed them on each side of the fairing. Here's a pic, What you think?

Some folks even yanked that sticker off! Looks okay, I guess. But you forgot one thing that Yamaha did give you '06 owners... More weight! BWAAAAAAAAA! :haha:

Personally, I like the fairing graphics MUCH better than the sidecover graphic.

That's the one I'd be removing.

I like the '05 emblems on there. I would do the same.

Count me in the likey column!!!

MJ

I'd remove the side cover emblems, the strange mirrors, seat and I'll raise you a luggage rack.

War Machine - I like the tuning fork logo additions. I agree, not sure why they took those off.

And on a totally un-related note, are you somehow related to Warchild?

I took all the Tuning Fork emblems of my 04 and have also removed them from my 06. I like to see people come and look at it and can't figure out what it is. I had some magnetic BMW logos made up and put them on the tank sometimes, it really screws with peoples heads. If they ask what it is, I tell them that it is BMW's newest model since Yamaha bought the company. :yahoo:

Since he didnt' really explain it, War Machine is a comic book character, the one in his avatar.

I have started pin stripping mine with DOT reflective tape. Just so you'll see me comming and going. I have to order more. I keep finding places to stick this stuff. I have a few nods so far I think it looks good.

Don't know that I woulda put another sticker that says FJR on the bike. to me its kinda like writing chevy on you truck windshield. But this is from a DAYGLOW biker.

windshield whistle?

Isn't that the deer/animal warning device?

I like the gas tank emblems on my '05... guess adding those to your bike makes yours an '05.5... :clapping:

Where the hell's my hair dryer.
Brings up a good point -- I've always used a hairdryer, dental floss, and Naptha (lighter fluid) to remove stickers/badges.

Stickers: Heat with hair dryer, peel off, and remove residual goo with naptha

Badges: Heat with hair dryer, 'saw' off the badge with dental floss, and remove residual goo with naptha.

This has worked for me for years, and has not damaged any surfaces.

Anyone got a better method?

P.S. -- put on/remove whatever ya like!

Don't know about Naptha (isn't that a car parts store, and a valley in Kaliforneea???) but Googone works pretty good on anything attached via sticky residue-like substances... and doesn't mess with the clearcoat or paint.

I couldn't agree with you more. When I first saw the 06 I was dissapointed the sticker was missing on the fairing and immediately planned on putting an 05 one on. And still do. Just to big an area of Blue with nothing to break it up IMHO.

Naptha is what lighter fluid (e.g. zippo, ronsonol) contains. :dribble:
