Just spent some time on the Yammy website and was reading the 06 changes to the FJR. Interesting to me was the new curved radiator and dual cooling fans, plus the changes to the side vents. Yammy says these changes make for a higher capacity cooling system and more comfort for the rider.
It seems none of us had problems with the FJRs overheating, and 3 bars on the temp graph were pretty much the normal high temp (which if I remember correctly corresponds to about 187*F temperature), so I have to ask why the increased capacity of the new curved rad and an additional fan were necessary? Of course a curved rad will allow a narrower profile, which Yammy says is the case with the new bike, so maybe an extra fan is necessary because the old fan, being larger, could not be packaged into the new curved rad.
Dunno  but can't help but wonder what's up.
I think I prefer the styling of the pre 06 bikes though, but I do like the adjustable ergos and 4-pinch bolt axles of the 06.
