I think it will turn like a school bus. I also think it will work best on the touring side. Kinda like a Busa, point and shoot.

I think some would notice, and some wouldn't.

What would show? Well, Shaft Jacking is something I've never encountered with the FJR, even so much as imagined, so I'm going to guess they were after dealing with a comment in one test that pointed out (approximately) "...noticed some instability when hurrying downhill".

Increased wheelbase would be a help with that, not so much slowing down the roll moment but slowing the actually steering movement. Extending the swing arm increases the wheelbase.

As well, it might address a part of a feeling I get, a feedback, when I stuff the FJR at about 100 mph into a certain, slightly banked, very high traction corner. Talking it over with very experienced riders, we gauge the feelings might arise from: The lack of a fork brace; But even then, some frame flex; But also some flex or other bending dynamics at the swing arm pivot. It's not a terrible sensation, and no sense that control loss is imminent, just "that feeling's odd".

Those are really such minor things to me personally, that a swing arm length increase acually shocks me.

Best wishes.

Wheelbase is listed as the same as the '05's on the Yama site so either the pivot point has changed or the specs are incorrect. I suspect the latter.

To increase straight line stability on a hopped-up nitrous KZ1000 (bored out to 1166), I put on a 750 swing arm (longer) and later welded a brace on. Can say it was rock solid on the straights, but you had to pray on corners. I'm guessing the 06's handling in the twisties may suffer a bit.
