06' Ticker???

Just bought an 06 A. Sounds like left valve ticking. Noticed it about 200 miles and have about 1200 miles on the bike now.

Really, REALLY doubtful it's "The Tick".

Do yourself a favor as a new guy and before you start some mass panic or something, at least rid this tick thread There's valve tick indemic to the Yamaha Genesis head and then there's the dreaded tick from premature valve guid wear.

It is a very sensitive issue to make a claim in '06 and you'd want to be 100% right before making a claim.

So was wondering what kind of miles are being put on 06's and if anyone had experienced/heard ticking??

Put on 8,500 miles in 15 days of riding out West on an 06 AE. This included high speed slab and low speed desert riding. No ticking.
